Pam Mace
Pam Mace is a Board Member and President Elect of The Fibromuscular Dysplasia Society of America. Pam became involved with the organization after being diagnosed with FMD. Pam has assisted in developing programs and materials for the organization as well as attended conferences on their behalf. She has gotten the National Stroke Association among other organizations to recognize FMD and to include FMD in educational material. She has been a very active participant with the FMDSA’s awareness program and has been successful in getting articles published in magazines and newspapers as well as doing radio and television interviews.
Pam is a Registered Nurse with 13 years of experience. She does primarily Emergency Room Nursing and also has experience in Critical Care, ICU, Critical Care Transport and the Cardiac Cath Lab. Pam also worked for two years as the Clinical Director of the Emergency Room where she was responsible for daily operations, developed short and long term departmental goals and polices and procedures. Before becoming a nurse Pam worked for six years with physically and developmentally disabled children and adults.


Susan G. Bell
Susan received a Bachelor of Science degree from Bowing Green State University and a Master of Arts in Counseling Degree from Logos Graduate School.
She has spent  20 + years in the medical field educating and training physicians, nurses, hospital and medical facility staff in diagnostic radiology procedures with contrast media, pharmaceuticals,  and home health care practice and procedures. She received training in cardiac catherization and myelogram procedures at Vanderbilt University Medical Center and became #1 sales rep in company history to sell prenatal vitamins in a geriatric population. Experienced in pain medication, hormone replacement, and cough/cold Rx, her career continued as she pioneered a psychiatric nursing program for Central Home Health care.
Susan has achieved membership in Reid-Rowell Pharmaceuticals Presidents Club and Who’s Who of American Women.
In 1995 she began a private counseling practice focusing on children with attention deficit disorder and business conflict resolution. Susan was then appointed to serve as President of the Board of Trustees of the Gwinnett Clearing House, a non-profit charity serving the indigent population of Gwinnett County Georgia. She was later named Executive Director and grew the charity in five years to more $500,000.00 in yearly in-kind and cash revenue, which  served more than 10,000 county residents. Susan has appeared on various TV programs, talk shows, radio programs and many community outreach and charity campaigns.
Susan relocated with her husband to Florida in 2004 where she now works as a computer/business consultant in their computer software company, www.customlogix.com. After being diagnosed with FMD in 2004 Susan has now become active in the Fibromuscular Dysplasia Society of America.


Mariette Vermeulen-Nuyts
Mariette, a former bookkeeper and mother of a daughter born with a facial disfigurement, took it upon herself to found The Belgian Association for Congenital Facial Defects, VAGA vzw, in 1992.VAGA was the first patient group for people born with facial defects and their families in Belgium.
VAGA has come a long way since its inception. Today, Mariette is still the acting President of the organization and coordinates a group of 26 volunteers.  VAGA's presence has ensured that the problems surrounding facial defects are dealt with in a positive, constructive and supportive manner.  For the 200 children born every year in Belgium with a facial disfigurement, VAGA is a beacon of trust, information and discretion.  In 2000, VAGA was granted the Patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Mathilde of Belgium.


Luc Van Braekel
Luc received his Law degree from the University of Antwerp and specialised in Criminology at the University of Ghent.
His specialist areas are : banking and credit law, company law, liquidations, bankruptcy law and judicial composition, law of economic crime. He is the founder and senior partner of Van Braekel, Moens en Vennoten, a wellknown Law firm in Antwerp.
